Our honey comes from our own apiaries across the Shotley Peninsula and is extracted and jarred by hand in Chelmondiston.

We make every effort to ensure Orwell Honey is as natural as when it is collected from the hive.

The nectar comes from a variety of flower sources, and each harvest will have its own unique flavour.

Pure honey will granulate or become solid in cool weather, this condition is in fact the best proof of its quality. It can be easily restored to the liquid state by standing the jar in hot water, first loosening the cap. The heating of the water should continue until the honey becomes liquid. The jar should stand on strips of wood so that there is water below as well as around the jar. Do not exceed 40°C.
